M&amp;M Recycling is seeking an experienced&nbsp;Maintenance Welder/Fabricator&nbsp;to join our team at a busy scrap metal recycling facility. This position is responsible for performing after-hours maintenance and repairs on a heavy-duty metal shredder and supporting equipment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability. This is not a production welding job. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, can work independently, and has experience repairing heavy industrial equipment. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform structural and wear-plate welding on shredder components.</li><li>Repair conveyors, hoppers, chutes, and heavy steel structures.</li><li>Replace liners, wear plates, shafts, and other worn components.</li><li>Fabricate parts as needed to minimize downtime.</li><li>Read and interpret mechanical drawings and measurements.</li><li>Inspect equipment and identify potential failures before they occur.</li><li>Perform cutting, gouging, grinding, and fabrication work.</li><li>Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area.</li><li>Be available for emergency breakdown repairs when necessary,after hours and on weekends.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum&nbsp;5 years of industrial welding experience.</li><li>Experience with&nbsp;MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding.</li><li>Experience repairing heavy equipment, crushers, shredders, mining equipment, or steel mills preferred.</li><li>Ability to operate oxy-fuel cutting torches, plasma cutters, and air arc gouging equipment.</li><li>Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in confined spaces and at heights.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.</li></ul>Preferred Experience:<ul><li>Scrap metal recycling industry.</li><li>Industrial maintenance.</li><li>Conveyor repair.</li><li>Heavy fabrication.</li><li>Bearings, shafts, and mechanical repairs.</li><li>Equipment alignment.</li></ul>We Offer:<ul><li>Competitive pay based on experience.</li><li>Overtime opportunities.</li><li>Health insurance.</li><li>401K</li><li>Paid holidays and vacation.</li><li>Stable, year-round employment.</li><li>Modern welding equipment and tools.</li><li>Opportunity for advancement.</li></ul>If you take pride in building things that last, enjoy working on heavy industrial equipment, and want to be part of a growing recycling company, we'd like to hear from you.
